Meet Some of Boone's Ancestors
 

Boone is  descended from the Betsy Ross line.   Ross Newman and his wife Betsy were very successful breeders in the 60's and 70's.  When Ross retired and moved to Hawaii in the late 1970's, he and his wife could only take a few basenjis with them.   Mary DeWhitt of Bubalak Basenjis, acquired several of Ross' champions. 

  Through the Basenji Champions Book (1945-1981), we researched Boone's pedigree and discovered that he is also descended from Alexander Phemister's, Ch. Phemister's Kedar, who was acquired by Cambria Kennels (Bob Mankey & Jack Shafer) of Santa Ana, California.  Ch. Phemister's  Kedar, was Cambria's foundation stud dog, who produced 11 Champions.
