"Chance"

Chance was one of our show prospects, but, by the time he was 6 months old, he had grown too tall for the show ring.   The AKC Basenji standard calls for dogs to be 17" at the shoulder, and at 6 months he was already 18".   We made a decision to  place Chance with a family as a pet. We were very fortunate to find a lovely Japanese lady, "Mikki" who already owned a female basenji and a female border collie.  Her border collie, "Sora" actively participates in dog disk (frisbee) competitions. Chance has been taking obedience and rally classes, and I can't wait to see him participate in AKC obedience and rally events.
